Six Sigma provides a framework for process improvement. It is a philosophy, a methodology, a set of
tools. Six Sigma encourages a
data-driven approach to decision making and cultivates a culture of continuous
improvement. Underpinning the methodology
is a conviction that high quality reduces overall costs, and that to
investigate quality you need to understand common-cause and special-cause
variation.
Visual Six Sigma seeks to streamline the process of data
analysis and to make it more intuitive.
It leverages interactive and dynamic visualisation
techniques to literally see sources of variation. Exploratory data analysis methods are
employed to investigate relations in data and statistical methods are used as
tools for discovery, with more academic statistic methods being used for
confirmation only when there is potential ambiguity in results.
This is a 5-day programme covering each of the steps associated with the Visual Six Sigma workflow. The course is supported with extensive end-to-end case studies. The course is modular in structure, and those modules can be combined to construct custom courses to meet specific needs
